How Diamond Hotel made two of my dreams come true

Sometime four years ago, I created this program with 2 more girls that will allow a mobile phone user organize an event with just a few clicks. In this J2ME program, you can actually pick your venue, theme, book suppliers, and create your guest list in less than 10 minutes. The idea appealed to me because I love organizing events but hate the hassle of talking to a third party who will cut you out the last minute.

What does this geeky story have to do with my entry? Well that’s sort of dream #1: be able to organize an event to the last detail sans the headache. Just last Friday, Diamond Hotel invited me together with other members of the press to “get married.” I know it sounds silly but hey, where can you actually get married without the cost and the jitters?

“Getting married is probably one of the most important decisions a person will make in his lifetime – saying those vows and committing to an eternal relationship. This milestone deserves nothing less than a memorable wedding ceremony fitted to your needs and taste,” says LA Popa, Diamond Hotel’s Banquets Sales Manager.

That said, Diamond Hotel came up with a handful of pre-nuptial festivities and wedding (reception) themes that’s sure to appeal to those who just got their left ring finger rocks.

Ting Hun

Diamond Hotel offers a Chinese engagement party giving couples a chance to experience an authentic Ting Hun. From the ceremonious serving of tea to the doling out of engagement gifts, let everyone know that a commitment of love is about to be sealed inspired by a culture that gives utmost importance to the announcement of their engagement as much as the wedding itself.

Spa Inspired Bridal Shower

Diamond Hotel offers the bride and her friends a rejuvenating celebration of the big day. They can relax under the skillful hands of Diamond Hotel’s trained masseuse as they give soothing hand, foot, back and head massages as well as enjoy other wellness treatments that will definitely relieve all wedding anxieties.

Pre-nuptial photo shoot

Pre-nuptial photos are probably one of the most important elements in preparing a wedding. They are often used in wedding invitations, AVPs, souvenir albums and other gamut of purposes. But most importantly, it captures the beauty of the bride and the charm of the groom in well choreographed poses; and it takes an expert’s eye and the perfect lens to do this. Diamond Hotel assists soon to be brides and grooms to achieve the best pre-nuptial photos by giving you one of a kind shots induced with high fashion by the industry’s most sought after photographers.

Bridal Coaching by Donna Cuna Pita

Finally, with all the flurry of activities going on, next to her mother, the bride herself can suffer from a lot of stress – so an expert’s advice would be a great help. Diamond Hotel ushers in Donna Cuna Pita, one of the most renowned bridal coaches in the industry. A fashion connoisseur and wedding expert, modern brides now have a fairy godmother to prepare them for their very own happily every after.

After all’s been prepped up and done, it’s time to say “I do!”

All That Jazz

This theme utilizes toned down colors of blue and purple in materials that resemble the night sky. Deriving inspiration from jazz, swing and blues, the centerpieces are miniature saxophones, trumpets and other instruments. This particular set-up is cool to the eyes and exudes a “modern bar look”.

Moroccan

If the bride and groom are not fans of the land of the rising sun, they can opt for a more colorful and warm Moroccan themed wedding. Derived from the traditional Moroccan wedding, this theme exudes warmth from the smallest detail that is ideal for festive dancing and cheerful chit-chats.

*breathes in* Okay, this is dream #2 (sort of) fulfilled: a sakura themed wedding (I am a HUGE sakura fan)!

Utilizing the soft side of Japanese pop art and natural elements, all in pastels and muted hues, this set-up is starkly simple with a tranquil feel that lingers in the soul. The Yurakuen Restaurant also provides a complete Japanese banquet, with platter after platter of unique Japanese dishes known for their complex taste and utter freshness.

While these themes are already breathtaking as it is, Diamond Hotel can further tailor fit them for the wedding of your dreams. Fans of traditional wedding themes need not worry because the hotel still offer these tried and tested celebrations.
