My latest addiction
While the options were endless (there’s Pho 2000, Pho 93, Pho 87, etc.), we always manage to roll back where we first had our authentic pho (pronounced as “fu”). From our first lunch, we had 2 more meals at Pho 24.
Here’s what I had from our dinner last Sunday at the Mac Thi Buoi branch:
.jpg)
PHO GA
Pho with sliced chicken breast or leg
35,000d
.jpg)
CHA GIO RE QUE
Crab and Edamame Stick Rolls
26,000d
.jpg)
BANH CHIEN HAI SAN
Golden Shrimp Wrap
30,000d
.jpg)
CA PHE SUA DA
Iced coffee with condensed milk (see below on how to prepare)
22,000d
What I had before we left Viet Nam for Manila’s almost the same as my first Pho 24 meal save for the Agar and the iced coffee:
.jpg)
PHO BO DAC BIET
Pho with beef fillet, well done flank, fat brisket, soft tendon, tripe, muscle, and well-done brisket
38,000d
.jpg)
CHA GIO
Deep Fried Spring Rolls
30,000d
.jpg)
RAU CAU
Agar, similar to the our local buko pandan gelatin
12,000d
They serve the coffee with condensed milk in a glass cup and a sort of brewing dish:

I suggest that you mix the milk and the coffee while it’s hot

Then pour on the glass with ice they serve once cool
The price is very cheap ($1 = 16,000d) for a meal that will cause you to roll on your belly. I love the ambiance too as the lighting’s decent (and good for food shots! haha) and the dining area’s clean. Per my travel buddies, the texture of the noodles from the local Pho 24 is better than what we have here in Manila. It’s softer but not soggy-soft.
Pho 24
